- Course Description: Area’s oldest course and one of first in Louisiana, historic layout that was home for most of Acadiana’s top golfers for decades, still regularly played by all ages, excellent beginner/game development course, recent upgrade to drainage/irrigation systems
- Signature Hole: No. 17, 400-yard par-four, dogleg left with trouble on both sides, drive must be straight to avoid left-hand trees and right-hand hazards in order to have shot at well-bunkered green
- Basic Information: Proper golf attire required, Shirts must have sleeves, Denim OK but no frayed shorts, Soft spikes only, Practice green available, Grill area available, No outside food or beverage. Yearly locker storage available at $50.
Directions:
From starting point at intersection of I-10 and I-49/U.S. 90:
Go south on U.S. 90/Evangeline Thruway for 1.9 miles, turn left onto Mudd Avenue (U.S. 90 Business) for 0.6 miles, turn left onto Shirley Picard Drive for 0.2 miles and the street becomes the course’s parking lot.
