- Course Description: Complete renovation in spring-summer of 2009 included reconstruction of all tees, greens and bunkers, some cart paths and other upgrades, Traditional course offering greater test than most municipal layouts, water comes into play on 10 of 18 holes, large tree stands on many holes put a premium on accuracy off the tee and on approach shots , host course for Louisiana Open for many years and remains home for many of Acadiana’s top golfers, excellent course for beginners, those developing game and experienced players
- Signature Hole: Grouping of Nos. 16, 17 and 18, pars four, three and four, all of which place accuracy as a necessity because of tree-lined fairways but also require length, especially on 472-yard 18th hole which ranks as one of toughest par-fours in area because of length, narrow fairways and well-guarded green
- Basic Information: Proper golf attire required, Shirts must have sleeves, Denim OK but no frayed shorts, Soft spikes only, Practice range available at $6.50 large bag or $4.00 small bag. Practice green available. Grill area available, No outside food or beverage, Lessons available, Hamburgers in grill among the best around. Yearly locker storage available at $75. From starting point at intersection of I-10 and I-49/U.S. 90:
Go south on U.S. 90/Evangeline Thruway for 6.8 miles, turn right onto Southpark Road/La. Hwy. 89 over railroad tracks for 2.3 miles, turn on slight fork right onto Rue Des Vieux Chenes for 0.2 miles and the course and parking lot are on the right
